If you’re like me, you have a dark, distant basement corner stacked high with paint cans from previous projects. You’ve let the pain run all the way down the side of the can, and have no way of keeping track what the lovely hues were used for. Don’t worry, lovelies, no need to cower in shame anymore! Brooklyn Limestone (check out this site – it’s completely fabulous) came up with a fun way to keep paint cans organized and lovely.

If that wasn’t exciting enough, I’ve stumbled across the perfect project. It involves chalkboard paint AND organization, naturally I’m all about it How cute is this:

I think I need one. Luckily I already have all of the supplies. Yes, even an old window. I may have found a group of eight old windows for sale during my daily craigslist stalking. They may be perfect for a renovation we’re hoping to take on soon, so I may have purchased all eight and then forced G to help me pick them up on Superbowl Sunday. Yes, he may be some kind of saint. I think I can spare one to make a calendar!

I’ve been re-organizing our house like a madwoman and this project has definitely been added to my to-do list. My weekly menu scribbled on notebook paper and haphazardly stuck to the fridge will no longer cut it.

Now don’t get me wrong – clipboards are useful, but they are not simply utilitarian. I was delighted this weekend when I stumbled upon this post by Kim at Desire to Inspire – she must be reading my mind!

Necklaces askew, bracelets hanging in and out of drawers, hair baubles falling on the floor and getting chewed up by Murray… anyway, the situation needs correction.

Correction in the form of this amazing jewelry tree? Yes. Yes, I think so.

But then again…maybe I don’t want to spend all my money for this vanity project on the jewelry stand…

I could be creative and aggressive and proactive (all things that are far from my reach on a Tuesday), and tackle a DIY jewelry organizer like this (by the prolific and talented Three Men and a Lady lady):

The old metal hooks are sort of charming with the gilded white frame! But…where would I put it? I want a mirror above the desk, so this might be too big for my needs…

And then…I found this! This project is easy and the end-product is funky.

I’ll just need to, you know, find a branch this is small enough and nicely shaped. And dry. It’s currently raining outside…so…maybe I can get my husband to do it for me. He likes hunting, so it fits, right?
