Though A. gave me a lot of disapproving looks, I picked out my winter hat last weekend from Kohl’s:
Though the phrases “It hardly covers your ears!” and “Did you notice that it’s got big holes in it?” were heard, I knew I had to have it. And only $11! 
Despite his misgivings, it’s very warm and super cute. And, since this was the view from our backyard pretty much all week …
… I think I got it just in time.
