It was cream and neutral so while not pretty, wasn't ugly. But two thoughts for you: Bed Bath & Beyond has a similar tree stand for $20. There has to be a dozen ideas out there if you want to go about the trouble. I'd go with the BB&B version of that tree. Can't wait to see the final product!
