Pour Me a Cuppa Joe

I have a dilemma. I know, I know – what could possibly be wrong on a Saturday morning?!? Perhaps dilemma is too strong. I am known for tending toward the dramatic…..

Anyway. Recently I have decided to make the transition from my beloved Diet Coke (with a shot of Cherry Coke. Glory.) to coffee. Why would I do such a thing? Well, I believe that coffee is probably healthier. I know there are better things for you than coffee, but I NEED caffeine. And tea tastes like grass in water (sorry, but it is a fact).  So, coffee it is.

Here is my dilemma question – what kind should I buy? I started with Archer Farms hazelnut, but now I have run out. I liked it, but I am ready to try something new. I think I prefer strong, flavored coffee. I need it to be already ground, because I am NOT that motivated. What do you drink?

I miss my Diet Coke. But coffee is not without its benefits – it makes our house smell GREAT in the morning and it’s nice to drink something warm as the weather turns colder. Plus, coffee comes with WAY better accessories. I bought a cute, hot-pink travel mug that is impossible to spill from (bonus). But I love this chalkboard mug :)

So, help a girl out – what kind of coffee do you drink?

Bottoms up!

Oh, K., you would be a tea hater. I’ll post tomorrow on that subject! :)

As for me, I LOVE coffee. You should check out Butterscotch Toffee from the Java House (they sell it in .5 or 1 pound bags, already ground). It will change your life. :)

    Love! J.

I do not condone the switch because I am a diet Coke with a shot of cherry addict myself. So you might not want to associate with me anymore, or I might bring you back into your depth of addiction. But if it were me, I would recommend finding a good Ethiopian fair trade coffee! We have some ground here if you want to try it Sunday!

I lived in SC for a long time & found some surprisingly good coffee roasters there (who are willing to ship their goods):
    - Leopard Forest Coffee Co (www.leopardforestcoffee.com)
    - Palmetto Bean Company (www.palmettobean.com)

I love me some flavored Java House as well. Butterscotch Toffee is incredible. I also like the Irish Cream and Whiskey. If you want to go with a cheaper option, try the Chocolate Folger’s kind or Cinnamon Swirl (I have some of the Cinnamon variety if you want it–I’m on a Capanna Sumatra kick right now–which is another fav of mine so am not currently drinking the Folgers). And I too, adore tea but it certainly is an acquired taste that took a long time to cultivate! I’m happy you made the plunge to coffee! I’m all about converting. Happy brewing!

Just make sure the coffee is ethically grown and traded, if not fair trade :) There is a lot of slavery in coffee production! I highly recommend Equal Exchange coffee (http://www.equalexchange.coop/) – their Hazelnut is awesome!

I’m a Starbucks girl… Cafe Verona is my fave… so yummy!! The cheaper coffee varities just don’t do it for me, unfortunately, so we’ve made room in our budget for Starbucks. :)
