Do you remember this collection from Pottery Barn last fall? (I get the catalogue just to find inspiration photos I can try to copy. Shhh, don’t tell). I was THRILLED to see bold, graphic upholstery featured as this time, I was sure, they copied me!

This little beauty resides at my house, next to the man chair. It adds a needed whimsy and is the perfect color palate to tie the room together. (Do you like how I pretend I am a decorator?)

I found her at a local thrift store for a mere $8 (!?!) and knew she had to be mine. My sister and I crammed, and I mean CRAMMED, it into my pickup truck sedan and off we went. Unfortunately, I don’t have a before shot. No, it wasn’t draped in paisley glory at the time. No no. Picture pink tweed encrusted in so much cat fur it looked like mohair. Inviting and oh so good for G’s allergies.

I found the perfect fabric and my amazingly talented friend, Sharon, re-upholstered it. Voila! A dramatic transformation for less than $75! Reminiscent of this amazing makeover from design*sponge:

Sharon is a goddess. I love paisley, BTW and, green paisley even! Be still my heart.

You HAVE to check out Target’s selection right now. They have some really awesome chairs. I’m coveting several.
