Edit – I was very pleased with the title of this post and pointed it out to G. I wanted to make sure he knew how hilarious his wife is. He said “That’s good. Like the band AND the pumpkins are smashing (as in fabulous).” Huh. I only thought of the band. See, I AM hilarious!
Fall is here, lovelies, and I couldn’t be happier about it. Crisp air, colorful leaves, warm beverages and comfort food, I love it all! But my favorite fall element, by far, is pumpkins. What’s not to love? They are round, come in all sorts of colors, fun to decorate with, good to eat. Granted, the thought of touching the insides makes me cringe. Fortunately I have G to tackle that job. Now, I resisted seasonal decor as long as I could – I am too lazy to change things out in a timely manner and Valentine’s decorations in April are just embarrassing. But I could not, COULD NOT, refrain from purchasing an adorable wicker pumpkin on clearance at Target last year, and thus created a monster. You better believe I was out scouting for fun fall decor at the first hint of cooler air. And who better to turn to for inspiration than my girl Martha? Here are my favorite pumpkin-inspired decor projects:

It is supposed to say “G {heart}’s K” but, as it turns out, that is hard to do. Although it is possible I had some wine before attempting this intricate carving. What can I say – Martha makes me believe I CAN be crafty. I will let you know how that goes
How about you – what is your favorite part of fall? Do you have seasonal decorations?
