Oh, how I love Rocket Dogs. Cute and affordable – what’s not to love? (As an aside, the brand name reminds me of A.’s interesting vernacular: when his feet are sore, he drawls, “Wooo boy! My dogs are barkin’!”)

Rocket Dogs and I have a history. My mother bought me my first pair in high school, and I wore them until the laces snapped and the soles screamed to be put out of their misery. Years later, under my gigantically poofy (yet elegant! I swear it was elegant!) wedding dress, I wore these bad boys:

So comfortable, and I continued to wear them through the entire next season (until Murray chewed one of the bows apart…he has no respect for our marriage).

Anyway, the point is that, the other day, I was walking through the mall and spied these magnificent creatures:

The Mystique CM. They are just silver enough not to be gold, and they surprisingly go with everything! (Which is a big selling point for me. Because, unlike K, who could possibly fill the warehouse at the end of Indiana Jones with her collection, I don’t really have that many pairs of shoes!) They aren’t super shiny, but the metallic finish is quite pretty and not too punk rock. And come on – how cute are the leopard-print insides?

They make me want to get married all over again. To A., of course. Nevermind.
