Let the record state that I am not a huge makeup person. I like makeup, and I feel more beautiful and confident when I have some on, but I’m definitely in the ambivalent category of makeup hounds.
But, let me tell you, when I tried on this lipgloss in Sephora a few weekends ago, I was anything but ambivalent. I was smitten.
I present to you rhett & scarlett, by tarte:

The colors are great for me – a deep red paired with a gold/sparkly finish. The container is even cool – the two colors can snap off into individual units or remain linked together, with the wands drawn from the center. If red and gold aren’t your thing, there 17 other combinations from which to choose.
I will admit that the first time I visited a Sephora I was weirded out and slightly paranoid about catching someone’s face cooties, but I’m officially over that. And, the best part: I didn’t spend a dime! My darling sister-in-law saw me ogling the lipgloss and snuck it into her purchases as a belated birthday gift. Thanks, Laura! I’d give you a big red-sparkly kiss if it weren’t weird because I married your brother! Nevermind.
What is the best thing you’ve ever found at Sephora, or what is a makeup item you can’t live without?
Affectionately, and with gold sparkles,

enjoyably chic. i love me some lip gloss.
Aww you are very welcome my lovely sister! I heart my sephora purchases as well. My eyes have never looked so bright and my cheeks never so rosie. I probably can never go back because I’ll find something else I love. Or maybe we’ll go back when we pick up my wedding dress.
I cannot live without my mascara, though I do not wear makeup much. But moisturizer and mascara are a must! Wow, alliteration!
Dry shampoo by Ojon – great for days when showering just doesn’t happen!
