Today’s tour focuses on one of my favorite blogs. It inspires me, teaches me, and, frankly, intimidates the heck out of me!
Centsational Girl. Check it out.

Kate, a.k.a Centsational Girl, is like a super hero. According to her bio, she’s a “full time mom and a part time attorney. I am also a wife, sister, writer, bargain hunter, decorator, salvager, and DIYer, who refuses to believe good quality must always be expensive.”
That description sort of makes me tired, but then I look at the thoroughly documented DIY projects and the amazing end products, and I think, “Hey, I can do that!” – which may or may not be true, but since she makes me feel that way, I keep going back
This chair recovery makes me believe I can reupholster something. Could it be?

Before reading this post, I didn’t even know I needed a drying rack in my laundry room. But I do! I do.

And this, this is the COOLEST. It’s the footboard of a bed turned into an adorable message board.

Not only does Kate take wonderful photos, but her step-by-step tutorials are so easy and empowering. This post on a DIY makeover of a painted cabinet changed me. I know that sounds drastic, but there I was, reading her post, and suddenly I was on Craigslist ordering a weird old bookcase. The next thing I knew, A. was teaching me how to use his sander and I was covered in dust. And pride. Yes, dust and pride. And some sweat. And I had no idea who I was anymore, but I was pretty sure I had just turned a crappy bookcase into something wonderful.
It turned out splendidly. I’ll show you sometime
Thanks, Kate, for your awesome blog!
Happy Sanding,

I wanna be just as crafty to! She’s got great ideas!
